Ciera Simpson

Hi! My name is Ciera Simpson. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, I’m a huge animal person we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and some reptiles! I also enjoy being outdoors, traveling, diving deeper into faith and anything craft related.

I have a lot of background in education. I got my Early Ed degree from Kirkwood. I currently teach preschool and love it! I am very excited to have this position as a second fun job, to get involved with the community of Independence since I just recently moved here this year and just spread the word more about God.

My goal is to make each class a welcoming and joyful space where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn about God. Building relationships is also an important part of my role. I value connecting with both students and their families to support spiritual growth beyond the classroom. I also enjoy working alongside other church leaders to strengthen the overall church.
